Monsoon rain here does not arrive politely. It arrives at 8pm on the highway with oncoming headlights, and your wipers on the fastest setting are still pushing a film across the glass. A coated windscreen sheds that water in seconds instead of smearing it, so the wipers do less work and you see the road instead of the raindrops.
This is an automotive specific formula, tuned for what a windscreen here actually takes: heavy rain, hard sun, dust, road film and bird droppings, plus wiper blades scraping across it every single trip.
How long does it really last?
Up to 12 months on a hand applied DIY kit, which is exactly why the box gives you two applications. The windscreen is the hardest place on a car for any coating, because the wipers never stop working on it. On side glass and glass roofs, where nothing is scraping the surface, it lasts a lot longer.
Where else can I use it?
Windshield, side glass and glass roof. Anywhere on the outside of the car that is glass and gets rained on.
Is this the same thing as the shower glass kit?
