EnduroShield is an Australian-engineered nano-molecular glass coating. It's not a polish, wax, or "rain-off" spray. It chemically bonds to your glass at the molecular level — only two molecules thick, completely invisible — and stops water spots, soap scum, and limescale from being able to grip the surface.

No. The cured layer is two molecules thick — far below what the human eye can see. Glass looks identical before and after, just behaves like glass that repels everything.

Same chemistry, same factory, same TÜV Rheinland certificate as the version specified for the One World Trade Center spire, Sandals Resorts, the UK's $45M Ansty Park aviation centre, and Sydney's autonomous metro. The only difference: ours is bottled in DIY kit sizes.

Once cured (8 hours after application), the coating is chemically inert and emits zero VOCs. Public Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available on request. During the 8-hour cure window, ventilate the bathroom and keep curious cats out — same as any new finish.

About 5 to 10 minutes per panel of glass — including pre-cleaning. Then 8 hours of "do nothing" cure time. Most customers do it before bed. Wake up, glass is ready.

No. The DIY kit is designed for first-timers. Spray the cleaner. Wipe. Spray the coating. Polish in. Wait 8 hours. Done. We have step-by-step videos and our PJ team is on WhatsApp if you get stuck mid-application.

Yes. Clean it as well as you can first (vinegar or CLR works on spots that wipe off), then coat. The coating prevents future spots, but it can’t undo existing etching. If the glass is permanently cloudy or etched, no amount of hand cleaning will take it all out. You can still coat it: EnduroShield will help stop it getting any worse, and the glass will be much easier to keep clean. If you want badly etched glass back to looking new, a glass restoration service has to do that first. Not sure which one yours is? Send us a photo on WhatsApp.

No. The steel wool is only for glass that has been in use for a while. It takes off the soap scum, mineral deposits and limescale that have built up. New glass doesn’t have those, so you can skip it. New glass still needs a clean first (see the next two questions). One rule: never use the steel wool on dry glass, it can scratch. Always wet the glass first.

Old glass can be permanently stained. If yours is, no amount of hand cleaning will take all the cloudiness or etching out before you coat it. Clean it as well as you can, then apply the coating. EnduroShield will help stop the glass getting any worse, and it will be much easier to keep clean. Yes, we recommend it even when the glass is new. Cleaners that were used on the glass before can leave a residue you can’t see. EnduroClean is streak free, so it makes sure nothing is left behind before you apply EnduroShield.

Any glass: windows, balcony balustrades, mirrors, pool fences, glass tabletops, car windscreens. The coating bonds to silica wherever it finds it. We sell it primarily for shower screens because that's where Malaysian water hits glass hardest.

Within the first 30 minutes, you can re-clean and re-apply if you missed a spot or got streaks. After that, the coating has bonded — but if a streak shows up, our PJ team will troubleshoot via WhatsApp, often with FaceTime if needed.

Almost certainly no — and they'll disappear. When EnduroShield cures, the coating goes through a curing process where mild streaking is normal in the first 24 hours. Just rinse the glass on next clean with a damp microfibre cloth, and the streaks lift right off. The bonded coating underneath is unaffected.

The pre-cleaner is engineered to leave zero residue. Most household cleaners — even glass-specific ones — leave a thin film (surfactants, perfume, brighteners) that prevents EnduroShield from bonding properly. Use the pre-cleaner. It's the difference between a 3-year coat and a 3-month coat.

Two roles. The white cleaning pad (used with pre-cleaner) buffs old residue, oils, and fingerprints off the glass — even brand-new glass has factory residue. The 0000-grade steel wool (in larger kits) is for stubborn pre-existing watermarks before coating. Both stay before coating — never use either on already-coated glass.

Roughly 90% less than before. After each shower, water beads off on its own. Once a week, a quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth + mild detergent (or just white vinegar) keeps it crystal clear. No more weekend scrubbing.

Yes: White vinegar, mild dish soap, neutral pH detergent, plain water. Always rinse afterward.
No: Abrasive scrubs (Cif, Vim), strong acids (CLR, hydrochloric), strong alkalis, cerium oxide polish. These will gradually wear the coating off.

Yes — a soft rubber squeegee (Ettore or Pulex are good) or a microfibre cloth. Avoid hard plastic blades or anything with grit.

White vinegar on a damp microfibre cloth, gentle pressure, 30 seconds. For tougher buildup, CLR diluted 1:1 with water, applied with a Magic Eraser, also gentle. Then rinse thoroughly. The coating handles both fine.

No. Unlike many competitor products, EnduroShield has no "activation spray" upsell. The coating is permanent — only mechanical wear or strong chemicals can remove it. After 3 years, you can choose to apply a fresh coat for fresh hydrophobicity, but it's not required for the glass to function.

No. The coating is two molecules thick and completely transparent — even if part of it does eventually wear (usually from a strong-cleaner accident), the worn area still looks exactly like the rest of the glass. The only difference: water sheets off the worn area instead of beading. Re-coat that area when convenient. There's no patchy "discoloured" look — that's a problem with thicker, dyed or wax-based coatings, not nano-molecular ones.

Microfibre cloths last 200+ washes if you treat them right. Yes: warm water, mild detergent, machine or hand wash. No: fabric softener (it coats the fibres and kills absorbency), bleach, high-heat tumble drying. Air-dry or low heat. Wash separately from cotton towels — microfibre attracts lint. One cloth per surface (one for glass, one for tiles, etc) avoids cross-contamination.

If your coating stops beading water in a specific area (or peels / hazes visibly) within 36 months, send us a photo. We compare it to your registration video and — if it's the same coated glass — we mail you a refill bottle of EnduroShield in the matching size. You then clean the affected area and re-apply the new coating yourself. We cover the postage; you handle the application.

What we don't do: send a brand-new full kit, or send an installer to your home. We're a small kit company, not a service company.

Within 30 days of receiving your kit: apply the coating, then record a short video (about 10 seconds) showing each coated panel with water beading off. Email it to hello@enduroshieldpro.com or WhatsApp +60 12-801 7258 with subject "Warranty registration — order #XXXX". We file it as proof of which glass was coated. No registration video = no guarantee coverage.

Two things. (1) You must register within 30 days of delivery by sending us a beading-test video — this proves which glass was coated. (2) The guarantee doesn't cover damage from prohibited cleaners (CLR neat, abrasives, strong acids), mechanical scratching, or accidental impact. Beyond that we won't be jerks about edge cases — but we'll ask sensible questions.

Yes. Sealed and unopened kits can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (you cover return shipping). Once a kit is opened or applied, it's not refundable — but it IS covered by the 36-month performance guarantee, provided you registered with a video.

The guarantee window closes at 36 months, but TÜV Rheinland's accelerated wear data shows the coating itself remains functional well past 10 years in lab conditions. Real-world: many of our 2019-installed homes are still beading water in 2026. We just don't contractually promise it past 36 months.
