Why Malaysian shower glass
fails faster than anywhere else.

Malaysian tap water is harder than KL traffic. Combine that with daily hot showers, tropical humidity, and soap residue — and your glass is sitting under three layers of corrosion every day, even when it looks clean.

Hard water

Klang Valley tap water carries ~120 mg/L of dissolved minerals. Every shower deposits calcium and magnesium that bond chemically into the glass surface.

Silane heads form covalent siloxane bonds with silicon-oxygen groups in the glass — the strongest chemical bond possible at this scale. This is why it doesn't wash off, peel, or wear down.

The cured layer is just two molecules thick — completely transparent, mechanically bonded, chemically inert. Water beads up. Soap rinses off. Minerals can't find anywhere to grip.

The hidden second job

It's not just water it repels.
It's the oil too.

Most "hydrophobic" coatings sell themselves on water beading. The dirty secret about Malaysian shower glass: the stains aren't water — they're soap scum, body oils, and mineral-soap reactions sticking to glass. EnduroShield repels both water (hydrophobic) and oily residue (oleophobic). That's why it's the only coating that actually solves the problem.

Water can't wet the surface. Drops bead into spheres and roll off — taking dirt with them. Reduces water-mineral deposits before they form.

Why it matters

Dual-repellent

The combination is the breakthrough. In hard-water Malaysia, calcium binds to soap to make scum that grips glass like glue. EnduroShield rejects both halves — so scum has nowhere to land in the first place.

This is why "rain-X" type sprays fail in bathrooms. They're hydrophobic only — water beads roll off, but the soap scum still sticks. Six weeks later you're back to square one. Glass coating without the oleophobic property is half a product.

Same chemistry, brutal climate

Pacific Guardian Center is a 630,000 ft² Honolulu high-rise with 20+ years of mineral staining from its rooftop air-con runoff. The maintenance team tested every major glass coating on the market on the section with the heaviest contamination. This is what they reported.

We tested all the options from the major coating companies, however nothing worked and they all failed in a matter of weeks. EnduroShield was field tested on a section of glass exposed to the heaviest contamination, and it worked. This is an incredibly harsh environment and EnduroShield not only worked, but was the only option strong enough to last.
